The Digital Research Community is a new offering for researchers from all faculties. If you are interested in an interdisciplinary exchange about digitalization, you should join us!

The digital transformation of our economic and societal systems is fully underway. The changes raise important questions in all sciences, including the humanities, law, business, economics and social sciences, medicine, the natural sciences and the arts.

Digital research often requires insights from multiple fields and profits from a broad discussion. We are convinced it is beneficial to establish a university-spanning community where researchers from all faculties can discuss digital research together and form connections.

How does it work?

We will meet once per semester for 90 minutes. Food and drinks will be served. We starts with very brief impulse presentations by researchers who would like to pitch their research, and idea, or are looking for something specific. The meetings will have a relaxed atmosphere.

Everyone interested in an exchange about research in the digital age is welcome, no matter your academic age or home turf.

Please join us for our first meeting on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, 12:00 – 13:30 in S13 (seminar building, first floor, click here for location details).

If you have questions, or if you would like to present something in 2 minutes using 1-2 slides, please contact us at: digitalresearch(at)

We hope to see many of you!

All the best,

André Marchand & Jörn Grahl
